New and Improved Beacons on the Air !

Hey everyone, give a listen to these newly relocated beacons and let me know if you can hear them – signal reports appreciated.  In case you are not aware, NE8I was an inspirational Michigan VHF/UHF/Microwave operator that is now a silent key.  Lloyd taught me how to do VHF roving, among other things.  MIVUS applied for his call, and we are using it as our club call.

The 50.065 six meter beacon has been on the air for years courtesy of Tom Bosscher K8TB.  I have had the 222.058 on the air for years as well.  We’ve decided it makes sense to put them all under the NE8I callsign.

144.280 EN73cc

222.058 EN73cc
432.298 EN73cc

This EN73cc site is about 11 miles NW of downtown Grand Rapids in

Conklin, Michigan.

I have additional 1,2G, 2.4G, 5.7G and 10G beacons also running under my KF8QL callsign from EN72et.  I plan on eventually changing the callsign on those as well next Spring/Summer to the NE8I callsign.
